Craving more challenge and technical depth, Henry returned to Vietnam and joined top-tier civil engineering firms such as South Transport Engineering Design Joint Stock Incorporated (TEDIS), B.R Design Consultant Co., Ltd, and TW-ASIA Consultants (Singapore). At these firms, he contributed to major national and regional infrastructure projects — many of which were internationally funded and required strict compliance with global standards such as AASHTO (GDHS-7, GDPS-4-M, GPF-2, HSM-1, MEPDG-3, RSDG-4), FHWA HIF-12-026, HCM, MUTCD, ASTM, ADA, HEC-22, and ISO.
These experiences gave him not only hands-on exposure to complex, calculation-driven design work, but also a strong understanding of how American and international engineering standards are applied in practice.
From this foundation, Henry realized what many overlook Vietnamese engineers have the talent, skills, and mindset to deliver high-level, technically sound design work for complex infrastructure projects in countries like the U.S., Australia, Canada, and Europe — not just basic drafting.
This belief became the driving force behind the creation of A2Z Civil Engineers (A2ZCE) — a firm dedicated to unlocking that potential and bringing civil engineering services from Vietnam to the global market.
